Consumer protection laws are built around the idea that a transaction is assumed to be beneficial to the consumer as long as there is no fraud. In other words, as long as the consumer knows all of the details, and those details are followed.

Marijuana is part of the story. It does provide a good chunk of funding for the cartels. The legalization of marijuana seems like a matter of timing at this point, but I think very few would support the legalization of hard drugs.

I feel sorry for the airlines and the passengers. The airlines are losing billions, but at the first sign of trying to cut costs some union or other goes on strike, causing them to lose even more. Then they have to cut costs even more, causing all the other unions to strike.

The reason Americans don't want to do those jobs is because they pay $4 an hour. The reason those jobs pay $4 an hour is because there are so many illegal immigrants trying to get those jobs that they have bid down the price of unskilled labor.

Yes, it is true that many from Mexico would like to come here. A poll conducted in Mexico about a year ago reported that a little more than half of the people there would like to move to the U.S.
